Common questions

Do I need an account?
No. Sign in with Apple is optional and only keeps your follows, likes and magazines in sync across your devices.

How do I delete my account and data?
Open You, then Delete account & all my data. Signed-in readers confirm with Apple once; the app then clears your data from the device and iCloud and disconnects Pixelfold from your Apple ID.

Why does For You show what it shows?
It's made from the topics and sources you follow, ordered by freshness, with a nudge towards things you like and open (kept privately on your device). Use Show less like this on a story's menu to mute a source or topic, and the filter button to show only news, reviews or features.

What are the "Sponsored" pages?
Now and then (no more than a couple of times a day) a page promotes a retro magazine. It's clearly labelled, and you can hide them for 30 days from the page's menu, or switch them off in You.

Why are some articles only short excerpts?
Pixelfold links to the publisher's own article. Reader View fetches the page on your device for easier reading, and the Web tab shows the original site.

The app says I'm offline or can't update.
Check your Wi-Fi or mobile data and tap Retry. Saved stories stay available offline.

I run one of the sites shown and want it removed.
Contact us using the link above and we'll remove it promptly.
